What fabulous opportunities you have this year! You can sing, play a band or orchestra instrument and play recorder. While you still can be in everything, I encourage you to come and give our Wizard Chorus a try. Beginning Wednesday, October 5th, our Wizard Chorus will meet once a week on Wednesday mornings from 7:20 - 8:10 in the Willard auditorium. After winter recess we will combine with the Lincoln Eagle Chorus and rehearse on Friday mornings the Willard auditorium. We’ll need to come up with an amazing name for our combined group, but can you imagine how wonderful it is going to be? We are hunting high and low for enthusiastic singers, committed to attending all the rehearsals and ready to make beautiful music. If you are interested, complete the bottom of this page and return it to school. The Wizard Chorus schedule for this semester is as follows: October 5, 19, 26 November 2, 9, 16, 30 December 7, 14, 21 Rehearsals resume after break on Friday, January 13th with our spring concert scheduled for Thursday, May, 11, 2017. Let’s make some music together, Katrina Beck
In celebration of the upcoming election, and as an extension to the unit of study in Ms. Joyce's Illinois History class, we will be attending a play based on Dan Gutman's book titled, The Kid Who Ran for President at DePaul University. Please expect a permission slip to come home this week. A big thank you to the PTO, who is paying for field trips this year! Please email me ([email protected]) if you are interested in attending this event with us!
